What programs does Sunny Patch Learning Center offer?We offer childcare services for children aged 12 weeks to 6 years old and a preschool program for 4 year-olds through Genesee County’s Great Start Readiness Program at the Donaldson location.

How can I enroll my child in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)?The GSRP is a free preschool program for 4-year-old children. You can apply for the preschool program through the following link: Apply for GSRP and choose Sunny Patch Early Learning Center for your child’s educational needs. We accept children who are 4 years of age by December 1st of the corresponding school year. The program runs Monday - Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with before and after care available.

Does Sunny Patch Learning Center offer transportation?Yes, limited transportation is available for children enrolled in the preschool program at our Donaldson location.

What are the hours of operation?Donaldson Location: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Clio Location: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 5:30 pm

What are the tuition rates and payment options?DHHS Subsidy: A DHHS case must be active with Sunny Patch before attending. Tuition Rate: Call for rates. Cash: Payment is due the first day of attendance.

How do you communicate with parents?We use the ProCare App to communicate with parents. Anyone picking up children from the center will need to be added to the ProCare App.

What do children learn?Children learn the basic: Identifications of shapes, colors, letters, numbers, count to 20, how to hold a crayon, and paint, Throughout the day children are engaged in a variety of activities: sand/water play, finger plays, songs, music/movement, story time, outdoor play

Do you provide meals and snacks?Yes, Sunny Patch is a participant in the Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP).

Do you accommodate children with special needs?At Sunny Patch Learning Center, we accommodate children with special needs to the best of our ability. However, our program does not provide one-on-one care, and our staff is not specialized in most areas of special needs. If a child's needs can be met within our group care setting, we are happy to welcome them. We encourage open communication with families to discuss specific needs and see how we can support each child. Depending upon the We provide care for children who does not require one on one.

What is your policy for sick children?We do not care for sick children in the center. If a child is displaying signs and symptoms of sickness teachers will call parents to pick the children up. If the parent cannot be reached, individuals listed on the emergency contact list will be called next.
